Got an idea? ๐Ÿ’ก

Hey Builder,

How's your project coming along? If you're still looking for teammates or ideas, here are a few ways to get moving.

Team up.

Post in our Discord (https://discord.gg/devpost) or use the Participants tab on the hackathon site to find other builders looking to team up.

Push past the obvious.

Judges love to see tracks pushed further than the basics:

  • ๐Ÿ“บ Fire TV: a simple video player is a start, a computer vision fitness app using the TV's camera or a multi modal experience blending voice, D-pad, and visuals is where it gets interesting.

  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Alexa+: a single turn Q&A bot works, an agentic workflow that orchestrates across services or keeps context across sessions stands out more.

  • โŒš Bee: a notification relay is fine, cross device orchestration (Bee alongside Echo or Fire TV) or on wrist coaching for learning is what we're hoping to see.

  • ๐Ÿ”” Ring: a motion alert or live view is table stakes, a caretaking monitor or an access control system for a business is where this track can really shine.

How judging works.

Every submission is scored 1 to 5 on four equally weighted criteria: Technical Implementation, Design, Potential Impact, and Quality of the Idea.

A quick update to the submission requirements: your project repository can now be private.

If your project repo is private, add the judging team as collaborators before the submission deadline, otherwise your submission can't be reviewed.

In your repo, go to Settings โ†’ Collaborators โ†’ Add people and add all of these:

  • Amazon reviewers: chris-trag ยท knmeiss ยท giolaq ยท anishamalde ยท mosesroth ยท emersonsklar
  • Devpost: [email protected]

GitHub's walkthrough is here.

One thing to watch: each person has to accept the invitation, and GitHub invitations expire after 7 days.

Add the reviewers when you submit rather than weeks in advance, and if you added anyone earlier and the invitation has lapsed, re-send it from the same Collaborators page.

Both need access for your submission to be reviewed. Public repos are still fine and need no extra steps.

We can't wait to see what you build!
