Hackathon: Access Denied assuming AddOn3PDeveloperToolsRead for Alexa AI CLI
I'm entering the Amazon App Dev Hackathon 2026 (Alexa+ track) with an MCP server.
Following "Set Up Your Development Environment", this command fails:
aws sts get-caller-identity --profile alexa-ai
Error: AccessDenied. User arn:aws:iam::767397903487:user/alexa-ai-tools is not authorized to perform sts:AssumeRole on arn:aws:iam::372468808636:role/AddOn3PDeveloperToolsRead
My IAM policy matches the docs exactly. Because I don't have an assigned Solutions Architect, can my AWS account (ID 767397903487) be registered for this role, or is there another way for hackathon entrants to install @alexa-ai/cli? The submission deadline is Oct 24.
Thanks!
