Questions about the rules

Three questions for the Alexa+ track and the Open Source mini challenge:

1. "Agent Skill": does it include the open SKILL.md format (used by Claude Code and other hosts), or only an Alexa-specific format? Our entry is a hosted MCP server plus a SKILL.md skill.

2. Demo: our project is a hosted MCP server (Streamable HTTP, spec 2025-11-25 or later). Is a demo video using a standard MCP client (Claude) acceptable for the Alexa+ track, or must it be a simulated Alexa+ experience?

3. Open Source mini challenge: our public repo (MIT license) was updated many times during the submission window. Does a contribution to that same repo count, or must it be a separate additional project?

Thank you!

    1. No alexa-specific format required
    2. That is technically sufficient and it doesn't have to be a simulated Alexa+ experience. However, in an apples-to-apples comparison, a polished demo with a nice UI that could reasonably work through an Echo device will likely score higher than just showing plain text calls in the Claude MCP inspector.
    3. Per the rules, "Create a new, additional open-source project or contribute to an existing public repository during the hackathon window, alongside a primary track submission.". So if the public repo you're referencing is a separate one that you're contributing to then that's fine.
