How do participants without Alexa+ hardware or US-region access test a self-hosted MCP server?

    You cannot actually integrate your MCP with Alexa+ because the add-on toolkit is not available to hackathon participants. You will need to create some sort of front end to invoke it; this could be a simple web app that you create, or you could use one of the templates proposed by other participants in discord.
