Hello! No devices are required, and each section lays out the requirements for using the technology and what demo is required. For example, for Alexa, you could create a simulated web frontend or even create an Alexa Skill (the technology for building for the original Alexa) and demo your MCP being called from that.

    what about the bee(wearable ai)

Still no devices required - you can use the Bee API with real (or even generated) audio and then can be creative about how to make a compelling demo of your project

hey Emerson , i have a alexa echo dot gen 3 (no display only sound capability) ,can i use that for the demo video , could i connect to it and then test my alexa MCP server live :D ? and it isn't mandatory to add a frontend or UI for the Alexa+ track right ?

You could certainly build an Alexa skill that invokes your MCP, and then demo it on your echo.
No UI is required, but you do need some way to demo it. Per the rules:
Alexa+: show your Agent Skill or MCP server (spec 2025-11-25+, Streamable HTTP) in action. Took the simulated-experience path instead? No specific framework or SDK required, but your repo still needs to include the simulation's source code, and your demo needs to clearly show it working.

hey , just to make sure if physical device is available we have 3 options we can use for the Alexa+ track right ?

1-Direct Alexa+ Integration (No Skill code): Registering a server URL in the Alexa+ developer preview portal. The Alexa+ LLM reads tools/list schema and executes tools/call natively over HTTP/SSE .

2-Alexa Skill Gateway (Custom Skill): Build a small ask-sdk-core skill where intent handlers convert spoken commands into JSON-RPC calls sent to the URL .

3-Simulated Experience Script (Demo fallback): If live voice hardware setup is restricted during video recording or issues occur, we could write a Node.js simulator that executes tools/call against the backend and prints the response stream to the terminal for the demo video.

1 is incorrect - you cannot directly integrate with Alexa+, as the developer tools are available only for select partners and is not to hackathon participants.
2 and 3 could be options (and im sure there are many other creative ways to do it too)
